Kick-Ass

This was a really fun movie. I wasn't expecting much, kind of thought it was going to be a kid movie, but it ended up being really gory and interesting. The movie is about a kid with no special powers who decides to become a super hero and help people. There is a scene in the movie where the main character gets stabbed, then hit by a car on a deserted street after stopping two thugs from breaking into a car.

One reason it is so interesting is that in New York recently a good Samaritan homeless man tried to help someone being mugged, ended up getting stabbed and then bled to death on the sidewalk as the fantastic people in New York walked by. Just kind of puts it all in perspective that people need to help one another and not expect someone else to help.

Nicholas Cage was good, the main character, I don't know his name, but I was not completely impressed by him. His sidekicks were well played though. Well, hope there is a Kick-ass 2.
