I Love You Man

Great movie! Loved it! I laughed incredibly hard. I would definitely recommend this movie. I have been recommending it too, and I actually bought the DVD too, cannot wait to check out the gag reel.

It is about a guy that is getting married and he needs a best man at the wedding, but he does not really have any good guy friends, mostly women friends. So he sets out on a quest to obtain a good male friend and hopefully a "best man" for his wedding ceremony.

The two guys that play the main roles were brilliantly funny. I have seen them in several other films and they did great jobs previously, but this film really showed off their comedic and acting talents. Paul Rudd and Jason Segel are their names. Lately they have been in tons of really funny movies, and I hope they keep making the great choices they have been making lately as far as the films they are making.

What is the meta-story here? That friendships are important because a friend will help you in ways that you cannot help yourself. Sometimes we do not know what are problems are and a friend will sometimes see them better and they can come up with different solutions. What I am thinking about specifically here, is that Jason Segel's character is a different kind of guy and he helps Paul Rudd's character in a unique way by buying advertising for him with Paul Rudd's money, kind of forcing Rudd's character to help himself.
