Ice Age: continental drift

This is one of those movies you see, and if you don't have kids, you feel strange, like an interloper.  Probably the best part of the movie was John Leguizamo's lisping character.

But it was one of those movies that you wonder why they made it, but then you remember money.  Oh yeah.

Prometheus

This is one of those movies that snuck up on me.  I had a clue it was part of the Alien movies but the trailers were so neat with the big fancy pale guy.  So we went thinking, this won't be scary.  It wasn't horribly scary but it did get my blood going here and there.

I was really impressed by the film and how it pulled together the Alien saga.  If they keep making more, perhaps explaining the terror of the species that first discovered the Alien.  I guess it made me want to see more.

Die Hard: good day to die hard

What a piece of crap this was.  Dude goes to Russia to help his secret agent son out of trouble.  Oh geez.  Bang bang boom.  I actually liked most of the previous Die Hard iterations but this one was just a bit too much over the top and unbelievable.

Bridesmaids

Very funny movie.  Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy were amazing.  And Chris O'Dowd wowed me.  Since then I have watched the IT Crowd and I hope to see him in more stuff.  Also McCarthy was all over the place, from projectile vomiting to stealing puppies, just amazingly funny.  Maybe they will make a Bridesmaids Two electric boogaloo!

Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole

I saw this movie in San Jose with my nephews. It was a pretty decent story. I guess it was from a children's book because my nephew Quinn mentioned during the movie that he had read the book. They both enjoyed the movie. I thought it was ok. Taught some ok messages without too many popular references, might end up being a classic kids cartoon.

The Town

Ben Affleck co-wrote, and I think he even directed this. A decent crime drama movie, about Boston folks that rob banks for a living. And of course they throw some love story in this.

It was interesting and some good visuals here and there.
